get your sweat on

years of running, walking, pilates, mommying, and having lots of fun- has lead me to find the perfect deodorant. i avoid pastel colors like the plague (mainly because they're awful) because they aren't in my "wheel", and due to the fact that even the slightest glisten can cause a sweet little moist spot that makes that Easter egg pink turn fuchsia. i typically spend way too much time with white vinegar and bleach on my white shirts to make sure there is no yellowing from my antiperspirant. bottom line is that because of the chemicals in our underarm potions, staining occurs. it has wiped out some of my favorite shirts. i fall victim no more. thanks to the wizards at nivea, there is finally a non-yellowing, clear, non-alcohol formula. it's not available in the US, go figure. luckily with the world wide web we love, it's a click away. it's not the most natural of substances, but then again... show me a tom's deodorant that works.
enjoy.

so rad

i recently discovered a line of skincare that i had to try out. this is mainly because the two sisters who started the line claim that it is both anti-aging and very good for rosacea/sensitive skin. win win for me. i am always leery about the over promise in these categories, but i gave it a whirl. to my surprise, i love the line. so far i have only used the anti-aging pads and the day cream. my complaint is that the day cream doesn't have any spf, but i don't rely on the spf in my day creams or make up anyways. i always slather on a decent layer of 50 over the top. the pads are fantastic, very little tingle and my skin looks smooth and calm in the morning. the day cream is very hydrating, not greasy at all and has a color to it - it doesn't tint at all, but it has a hue from the botanicals. the line is spendy, but you only get one face. it's radical.

Giddy Up!

after years of hearing about various hair builders on the internet and radio ads, along with trying just about every sort of hair and nail vitamin on the market, my locks still lacked lustre. while sitting in my hair fairy's chair, i spoke with her extensively about the damage on the back of my head (jbf hair in case you were wondering). she recommended a product called EQyss Mega Tek Rebuilder. EQyss is used for racing and riding horses for saddle burn, breakage and even hoof cracks. as long as it wasn't going to make me grow whiskers on my chin like biotin did, i was willing to give it a shot. first and foremost, it's affordable. unlike the "O"ther brands out there advertised, a huge bottle of this set me back just over twenty bucks. it smells like heaven, think coconuts and mai tais. very different than what i had imagined. i rub a decent size dollop of this magic all through my hair just after washing and leave it in for about 5 minutes in the shower. i follow it with a light conditioner, because even though this cream is thick and delicious, it is a rebuilder, not a conditioner. i use it about 3 times a week (about as often as i wash my hair anyway). it has done wonders for me. my hair has grown longer, thicker and has much less breakage. i am forever in debated to my stylist. thank you ashley. giddy up and try some y'all.
